Adopting or Fostering
Thinking about adding to your family?
I work with and support a number of charities and no kill shelters that do the angelic work of helping out dogs and people in need. Organisations that help people and pets stay together like Paws and Recover and Pets of the Homeless, or no-kill shelters that operate facilities for dogs to transition through on the way to a new home, and those that create networks of foster carers that take in dogs until their new forever family can be found.
I have some links below so you can volunteer to walk a dog, lend your skills, help at shelter, foster or adopt.
I have done all of these things, I have mucked out pig yards, photographed rescues, been a foster parent and adopted from a shelter and have loved every one of these jobs and I am so, so grateful these organisations exist.

More about me
How did I get here? After the first chapter of my life in Melbourne. I moved around and eventually found home and community here in Sydney's inner West in the little village of Hurlstone Park. Whilst on a coffee and dog walk, I stumbled across a cute shop and 2 days later I had a lease! I genuinely panicked, but it's worked out well and I now run a private portrait studio dedicated entirely to dogs and the people who love them (yes that includes kids!)
How did I become a (mostly) dog photographer? I love photography, and I love dogs. It made sense to combine those two things. I founded Love Tails because I know from personal experience just how extraordinary the bond between a person and their dog can be, and how quickly the grey snoot appears. My mission is to help Sydney dog owners preserve that bond in beautiful, lasting artwork. The only things that came with me through all my moves are my family photos and the crochet owl my mum made - photos are important!
I have a slow resting heart rate. This means I'm not running a race. My approach is unhurried, gentle and genuinely fun for both dogs and their humans. I have photographed hundreds of dogs across Sydney — energetic puppies, elderly dogs, anxious rescue dogs, reactive dogs, and every personality in between.
