120 kilos of dog!

A pair of giant Rottweilers isn't my usual tiny, fluffy client, but with names like Frankie and Chicken Salt, it was safe to assume that they were going to be just as pampered as a Parisian Poodle. I wasn't wrong. These dogs, despite their enormousness were big babies. They arrived all excited, tails wagging and their tongues decided to stay out for almost the whole shoot despite the air conditioning being on 18 degrees. Their mum Kelly says 'Frankie loves trying to make both humans jealous by jumping on ones lap for pats while making eye contact with the other, she’s also our queen & is a sucker for butt pats. Chicken Salt’s nickname is Nicholas Cage after getting into a fight with a possum & losing, she had chunks of fur missing from her face so we call her after Nicholas Cage’s character from Face Off. She is the weirdest love bug that ever existed.'

Now, my usual 10kg clients are pretty easy to manoeuvre, they are simply picked and placed where were we want them to be, but you can't 'negotiate' as easily with a rottweiler, never mind two. These gals decided they wanted a proper couch for their glamour shots, not just a Queen Anne ottoman, so Sean and I went into the gallery and got the leather couch for these discerning queens.

We did it! We got family photos

Once we gave up and let the Queen dogs have what they wanted, everything fell into place and we got the most delightful family portraits and lots of laughs along the way. Thanks for being good sports Kelly and Sean.
